Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

We collect your name, email address, and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store card details). We collect metadata about the content you upload (file names, timestamps, family relationships) but the content itself is encrypted and inaccessible to us.

2. How we use your data

We use your email to send you account notifications, billing receipts, and (only with your consent) product updates. We use metadata to power features like search and family tree. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose beyond operating Progeny Hub.

3. Data storage and security

All files are encrypted using AES-256 and stored on AWS S3 in the United States. Database records are encrypted at rest. Data in transit uses TLS 1.3. We do not have access to your encrypted files.

4. Who can see your family’s data

Only members you explicitly invite to your family vault can access your content. Admins control member permissions. Progeny Hub staff cannot access your encrypted files. We may access metadata (not content) if required by law.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. To request data deletion, email privacy@progenyhub.com. We will process requests within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under CCPA.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for login sessions and security. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We do not use third-party analytics that track you across websites.

7. Children

Progeny Hub allows children under 13 to be members of a family vault only with admin (parent/guardian) approval and oversight. We do not knowingly collect data from children independently.

8. Changes to this policy

We will notify you by email of any material changes to this policy at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of Progeny Hub after that date constitutes acceptance.
